Hortonville has a proud and supportive tradition for both academics and co-curriculars. Our philosophy surrounding co-curricular activities has four pillars student-centered, coach-driven, administrator-assisted and community-based.
We believe that the Activities Department is truly all about the student activity experience. The decisions that this department makes are always with the best interest of our students in mind. Every decision is made to provide our students with opportunities to grow in leadership, character, and life.
Our coaches embrace the mission and values of our school and activities department. They are driven to better students in their programs and in all areas of the school. They look to coach and teach not only the physical dimension, but also the mind and heart of our students.
We have an extremely supportive set of administrators that are here to assist our coaches and provide them with the resources, environment, and culture needed for staff to be their very best selves. They fulfill our students’ dreams and aspirations as well as their own.
We believe that the community is an integral part of our activities program and it is of the utmost importance to involve them in ways to see all the great successes our programs accomplish. Our department works to keep them updated through online platforms and social media, booster clubs, community nights during activities, and the promotion of all our programs. Through these pillars, we believe that all our programs, coaches and students will be successful in activities, school and life.
